Hi all,

Here comes the shameless plug;
I've been busy doing the WiresharkU road tour, if you're interested in attending, feel free to check out http://www.wiresharku.com

Looks like Network General has found another home with NetScout http://www.netscout.com/bestofbothworlds/

My old friend Tim O’Neil has his site, www.Lovemytool.com up and running. Through Tims no nonsense approach, I get some pretty good opinions and facts about networking technology. And everyone loves a well-written rant.

I’ve been paying with VMWARE’s free VMPLAYER to simulate different environments or OS’s without having to worry about dual boot, etc..
http://vmware.com/products/player
Then you can go to VMARE’s library of free pre-made appliances http://vmware.com/appliances/ like Ubuntu, trixbox, etc..
The only annoying part of this process is filling out the form to get your appliance and the website doesn’t remember who you are.
For example I downloaded Ubuntu and was up and running in minutes.

I updated my
- Analyzer comparison page; http://thetechfirm.com/reviews/index.html
- Wireshark Page; http://thetechfirm.com/ethereal/ethereal.html
Keep the suggestions coming for more "how to's"

Thanks for all the positive feedback regarding my "10 step process to get MRTG up and running"
