Subject: What's new?
Hi ,

---- The Technology Firm Mailer ----

As part of some of the other projects I am currently involved with, I
am constantly exposed to desktop, server and network components issues
or announcements.

In the past I didn't really write much about desktop, servers and
specific router issues, but for the better part of last year many of you
have asked me to include some of these topics in our newsletter. So lets
see how it goes. I'll try not to send out emails regarding menial
topics, but hopefully topics that will help you out.

Microsoft Ships Malware Removal Tool

Microsoft also released the first version of its malware removal tool,
called the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT).
Early reports suggested that this tool would be an antivirus solution,
but the reality is far less exciting. MSRT is simply a
rollup of all the malware removal utilities that Microsoft had
previously released. It scans your PC and removes various viruses and worms,
including Download.Ject, MSBlaster, and MyDoom. However, it doesn't
protect against other malware and doesn't include any
real-time scanning capabilities. Microsoft says that it will release
new versions of the tool each month alongside its monthly security
updates. You can find more information about the tool on the Microsoft Web
site.

Network Monitoring and Management Solutions

Networks are present and future of Information Technologies' World.
Our goal is to help people in installing, configuring, monitoring and
managing them. Our target is as huge as the networks' design and size are:
our solutions fit every need, from the Internet Provider WANs (Wide
Area Network) to the small home LAN (Local Area Network). Anyone which has
to deal with network related problems should try our integrated
solutions and enjoy their proof of concept, their concerned point of view,
their speed and easyness of use: they come directly from the analysis of
the feedback collected from expert network/system administrators,
network engineers and network designers.

Our flagship product is Look@LAN Network Monitor, a free solution for
both personal and commercial use, is an advanced network monitor, which
allows you to monitor your network in few clicks. Extremely easy to use
and very fast in discovering your network's active nodes. Full of
relevant features such as auto-detect of network configuration, monitoring,
reporting, trapping, statistics and graphs, network tree view, network
log, proof single node scan, os detection and so on. This solution is
perfect for any kind of network size and design, as its network core has
been developed to be able to work in any scenario.

While Look@LAN lets you be able to entirely monitor a complex and wide
network, with Medas VNS (Visual Network Statistics) you can keep under
control your network primary nodes, such as routers, firewalls, NATs,
switches, HUBs. Medas VNS gives you detailed statistics about any node
that supports SNMP: network interface stastics and correlated analysis,
protocol statistics about any TCP/IP layer, active TCP and UDP
connections and services, TCP/IP networks list, routes list. This is a perfect
software solution for anyone who wants to carefully monitor and manage
a network by keeping under strict control its primary nodes.
