As part of some of the other projects I am currently involved with, I 
am constantly exposed to desktop, server and network components issues 
or announcements.

In the past I didn't really write much about desktop, servers and 
specific router issues, but for the better part of last year many of you 
have asked me to include some of these topics in our newsletter.  So lets 
see how it goes.  I'll try not to send out emails regarding menial 
topics, but hopefully topics that will help you out.

Microsoft Ships Malware Removal Tool

Microsoft also released the first version of its malware removal tool, 
called the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT). 
Early reports suggested that this tool would be an antivirus solution, 
but the reality is far less exciting. MSRT is simply a
rollup of all the malware removal utilities that Microsoft had 
previously released. It scans your PC and removes various viruses and worms, 
including Download.Ject, MSBlaster, and MyDoom. However, it doesn't 
protect against other malware and doesn't include any
real-time scanning capabilities. Microsoft says that it will release 
new versions of the tool each month alongside its monthly security
